Artisanal Imports Announces Sponsorship of Second Annual National Belgian Beer Week (July 18-22)

North America (July 16, 2018) – Artisanal Imports is excited to announce its sponsorship of the second annual National Belgian Beer Week (July 18-22), which will highlight notable authentic Belgian brews. #BelgianBeerWeek is a joint effort of the nation’s premier Belgian beer importers, including Artisanal Imports, D&V International, Global Beer Network, Merchant du Vin, Wetten Imports, Manneken Brussel Imports and the breweries they represent.

The week kicked off with the 8th annual North American Belgian Beer Fest (July 13-14) in Westland, MI where a number of world-class breweries in the Artisanal Imports portfolio were represented, including Brouwerij BosteelsBrouwerij MartensBrasserie St-FeuillienBrouwerij Omer Vander GhinsteBrasserie de BastogneDe Proef BrouwerijBrouwerij ‘t VerzetBOM Brewery and Vliegende Paard Brouwers – Préaris.

“Artisanal Imports was delighted to be a part of the 8th Annual NABBF, and proud to make available beers from esteemed Belgian breweries such as Bosteels, St. Feuillien and Omer Vander Ghinste in celebration of the experience of authentic Belgian beer,” said Lanny Hoff, Artisanal Imports SVP-Brands Manager. “It kicked off the wonder that is National Belgian Beer Week, which gives Belgian-brewed beer the focus and attention it so dramatically deserves.”

“National Belgian Beer Week and its kick-off event NABBF are about helping folks discover or re-discover some of the best beers in the world from independent Belgian craft brewers,” said Roy More, co-host of the North American Belgian Beer Festival, co-founder of Ashley’s Pub and Honorary Knight of the Belgian Brewer’s Guild. “Belgium has more internationally recognized styles of beer per capita than any other country, and there are more American-made Belgian-style beers than ever. The week is about becoming familiar with the originals, which is key to judging the quality of their American counterparts.”

Today, the Flanders Investment & Trade team is hosting a trade event at their office in New York. The event is open to beer professionals who want to learn more about Belgian beer, and connect with breweries, importers and distributors.
