Project Description

Brasserie de Bastogne is a true Belgian farmstead brewery near the famous World War II town of Bastogne. Its original equipment came from Rulles Brewery. In operation since 2008, Bastogne continues to use open fermenters, along with yeast and lab services originating from Orval.

Bastogne Ardenne Saison “Biére Sauvage”

Ardenne Saison is fermented with true “wild brettanomyces” cultivated from the region. Cascade and Hallertau hops blend the old and new worlds. Saison ages beautifully, just like it’s inspiration, Oval.

Bastogne Ardenne Stou

This is an imperial stout with tremendous depth. The combination of Spelt, Mosaic, Hallertauer and Goldings Hops is beautifully integrated with the aromas of wood, smoke and whisky. It also uses the same yeast as Orval.

Bastogne Ardenne Spirit “Old Ale”

Ardenne Spirit is a tremendous example of an overlooked style. Using the same yeast as Orval, it’s all malt and no sugar. This gives a mouthfeel loaded with body and long, lingering finish. Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Mosaic Hops used.
