About Veltins

In 1824 a small country brewery in Grevenstein, Germany, began brewing beer conforming to the German Purity Law. Over 180 years later it had evolved into one of the most modern private breweries in Europe: C. & A. VELTINS.

This unique success story behind the family run company, now in the fifth generation, is based on investment strength, farsighted enterprise, and a corporate culture moulded by both team spirit and the highest quality claims in equal measure.

To this very day, this premium beer is still being brewed exclusively from the highest quality ingredients – malt, hops, yeast, and purest spring water – strictly in compliance with the Purity Law of 1516. The water from the mountain springs all around Grevenstein is unusually soft.

Veltins Pilsner
Pilsner
4.8% ABV
Veltins pours clean with a pale golden body and white, billowing head. Subtle malt and pleasant grassy character fill the nose. The first sip bursts with carbonation and there is a balanced soft note of malt and gentle hops. The sweet malt slowly melds to a dry, clean, soft finish which leaves you begging for more.

Veltins Radler
Pilsner
Radler
2.4% ABV
The VELTINS Radler offers a thirst-quenching sight. The sparkling and bright yellow of the shandy is crowned with a white and firm foam head. The smell is initially reminiscent of intense citrus fruits embedded in a floral malt and hop aroma. When drunk, the Radler impresses with its fine, sparkling, tangy fruit acid, which is surrounded by a soft sweetness and is rounded by a noble hop bitterness in the finish. A refreshingly fruity experience that leaves a harmonious lime taste afterwards.

Grevensteiner Original
Country
5.2% ABV
The first beer brewed by Carl and Anton Veltins was an unfiltered malty Kellerbier and was called Grevensteiner. This unfiltered country beer is brown with ruby highlights, slightly hazy with a brilliant white head. The body is rich and malty with a clean crisp slightly hoppy finish. Grevensteiner uses whole leaf hops and traditional ancient malts to recreate the true original beer of the brewery.

Tasting Notes:

The beer is characterized by a silky matt amber color, orange-colored reflections and a velvety soft head. The complex aroma is initially dominated by caramel aromas with slight undertones of honey, roasted almonds and fresh fruity notes which, above all, are reminiscent of green apple. Grevensteiner appears very tangy and elegant. A light roasted, bitter note, paired with a nutty taste opens up a distinct finale, in which a flavor of cream caramels unfolds.
